How are Natural Farm Filled Bone Treats Made?
Ethical Sourcing of Bones
First, our bones are made with natural femur bone sourced from our trusted supplier in Brazil. We ensure these cattle are 100% free-range, grass-fed, and finished, and are not injected with harmful toxins. They are pasture-raised to live a full life without being cooped up in a small farmhouse!
Hand Cleaned and Handmade Without Bleaching
Bleach is commonly used to clean bones for dogs. But we do not bleach our filled bones to make them whiter as bleach may put your dogs' health at risk.
To keep the bones as natural as possible, we wash them thoroughly with hot water and vinegar, only. After the excess meat from the bones have been softened, our team evaluates individual femur bones and manually scrape them clean—by hand.
Does it take longer? Yes, it does, but Natural Farms doesn’t take any shortcuts when it comes to our dogs.
Slowly Air Dried for Safety and to Lock in Nutrition
When the bones are cleaned, we carefully air dry them in low-temperatures in order to lock in nutrition such as calcium and rich flavor. By air drying bones for a longer period of time starting at low temperature with a slow increase in temperature, they become softer and are less likely to splinter.
While safety is our main priority, it's important to pay attention to your dog's chewing behavior since aggressive chewers with strong jaw muscles may splinter the bone. Monitor your dog closely while chewing and remove the treat immediately if it breaks into pieces.

Limited Ingredients, Maximized Flavor
Since we want to keep our chews as natural as possible, our fillings contain fewer ingredients compared to others on the market. Some fillings can contain up to twenty ingredients. Yikes! Our Bully Stick Filling contain only five ingredients total (one being water) —to never compromise your dog's wellbeing.
The base in all of our fillings is chicken. Real, high-quality chicken meat instead chicken meal. Why is this worth mentioning? Chicken meal is commonly used in dog food which is a powder made from dried leftover chicken parts. But we know your dogs deserve better.
