April marks the month-long celebration of Earth Month, and with April 22 being Earth Day, there are a few ways you can go green with your pup to celebrate reducing your dog’s carbon pawprint today and every other day!

Always Pick Up After Your Pup!

Most people believe that dog waste is natural — it isn’t! Dog waste doesn’t decompose and contains harmful bacteria and nutrients that are harmful to humans through local waters when it doesn’t get properly disposed of. Always carry dog bags with you, and make sure to pick them up, even if no one is around you.

Walk With Your Dog

Instead of driving everywhere, try to go places that are dog-friendly so you can walk with your dog to them. With fewer cars on the road, it means fewer emissions into the air. Plus, your pup will love the exercise and going places with you.

Shop Natural

Support companies that have ethical business practices. Natural Farm creates all-natural dog treats and chews that are farmed responsibly and crafted with care. The company’s hormone-free, chemical-free products come from local suppliers of free-range, grass-fed cattle and Natural Farm controls every step of production, including sourcing, lab testing, and packaging.

Natural Farm is environmentally conscious, with certified green packaging made of 51% recyclable sugar cane and recyclable materials, and supports reforestation projects and other important nonprofit initiatives around the world benefiting the environment, animals, and children.

Pack It In, Pack It Out

Remember to always leave no trace when you’re out and about with your pup, especially on a remote or well-trafficked trail. Of course, this is also a good reminder for you as an owner and any human companions when out in the wilderness.

Feed Your Dog The Right Amount

Something you may not have thought of is if you’re overfeeding your dog. Meat production does impact the environment, especially beef, so one thing you can do to help out with resources is to make sure you’re giving your dog the right amount of food they need. When in doubt, always consult with your vet to make sure you’re feeding your dog the right amount based on their particular health, breed, and recommended size.

About Natural Farm

In 2018, after years of searching for high-quality, natural dog treat products, we decided to bring them to the market ourselves. That’s how Natural Farm was born—we wanted to present the industry with what it lacked the most: natural dog chews, treats, and bones, sustainably sourced from local suppliers and produced in our own human-grade, FDA- and USDA-approved facilities, where every product is lab tested for quality and contamination.

Natural Farm is committed to pets, people, and the planet. We give back to communities and pets in need, support reforestation efforts and nonprofits, and our products are packaged using recycled materials.
